"It was probably nothing, but it felt like the world"
-Morrissey, Autobiography (p. 141)
HELLO +
I grew up in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria (Australia) where I still currently live + work. With an initial and ongoing interest in analogue photography and processes, I studied at the Photographic Imaging College after leaving high-school, graduating with a diploma in photo-imaging in 2011.
In the following years I have worked with local Australian musicians, producing imagery for album / single covers + promotional work.
My personal work gravitates towards portraiture and documentary, with an aim to present beauty in its purest and most natural form. I tend to focus on specific people, places and moments in an effort to document those that aren't easily defined and small things that are commonly missed.
I draw inspiration from old family photos, my music collection, long road trips, nostalgia, dreams, and especially my family + friends (because they're brilliant).
Currently I am working on a series exploring family and the memories or objects that tie us together.
